Bai Tong Review

Bai Tong is one of my favorite Thai places of all time! Not it is not extremely expensive compared to many other Thai places but also the food there is AMAZING! Below I have reviewed three dishes that I most commonly get and their ratings next to them.

Pa-Nang Curry(Picture below): This is named after Penang Island in Malaysia, this comparably dry curry is pan-fried for more concentrated flavor and aroma, and includes coconut milk, basil, and bell pepper. Chicken, pork, or tofu. You can also add Stewed Beef, prawns, and seafood into this curry. The curry is more on the thicker side but still work great with a side of rice. It has a bit of a spicy kick but is still tolerable for kids. I would recommend getting this dish when you go there because it is super filling, and it really is fit for the entire family. Rating on dish: 7.5/10

Pad Sei lew(Picture Below): This dish includes wide rice noodles, egg, broccoli, and soy sauce tossed in a hot, well-seasoned wok. You can choose your choice of meat from chicken, pork, tofu, beef, pawns, and seafood. Wide Rice Noodles are like a wide chewy, thick noodle that is great to munch on and is supper filling. This is my favorite dish out of all these dishes because they include a lot of meat and noodles, not only filling the whole dish with veggies. I would 1000% order this dish when you go for any dinner or lunch to Bai tong. Rating on dish: 8/10

Red Curry (Picture Below): This is a rich curry that includes chili paste, simmered with coconut milk, Kaffir lime leaves, bail, bamboo shoots and bell peppers. Your choice of meat for this can include chicken, pork, tofu, beef, prawns, or seafood. This curry looks like the Pa-Nang Curry but is still different. The Red Curry is thinner in texture while the Pa-Nang Curry is thicker. This is also a great dish to eat with rice. At first when you taste the Red Curry you won’t be able to taste the difference but the more you eat it you will start to spot the differences. If I were you, I would skip on this dish and go with the Pa-Nang Curry instead because they taste very similar but I have always enjoyed eating the Pa-Nang Curry more than the Red Curry. Rating on dish: 5.5/10

Overall Bai Tong is a great restaurant with an overall great price point. I hope that you have an amazing time at this restaurant whether you are going with family, friends, or alone.
