BEST HOTPOT PLACE!!! :)

This is the BEST hotpot place in the history of all hotpot places. Okay to to be honest this was the first time ever had hotpot but this was the most amazing experience ever. If you are unaware of what hotpot is, it is a type of cooking style that originated from China. It is when you have a boiling pot of soup and you cook everything inside of that. You can put in lettuce, noodles, tofu, chicken, lamb, pork, etc. If you want a better idea of how it works look at the picture below.

For my first time eating hotpot I had an AMAZING experience and I would 1000% recommend to go there. I went to Mumu Hot Pot in Foster City California. We ordered 3 types of soups for a dinner with 5 people and it was more than enough. They brought many different types of vegetables which included mushrooms, bamboo shoots, lettuce, spinach, etc. For the meats they had chicken, pork, lamb, imitation crab, tofu, and lobster balls (all that were amazing). They also had amazing and different kinds of sauces which included mushroom sauce (top recommendation), green pepper sauce, sesame oil sauce. And not to mention they had various different kinds of noodle, but we ordered the udon noodles. (tip: add noodle in the soup very last because it will leave the soup starchy)

When you go to cook them you only want to leave your veggies inside the soup for about 2-3 min but for the meats your are going to need 4-5 min for them to properly cook. Once they are done cooking you can take them out and eat them. Remember to let it cool down for about 1 min. as it will be extremely hot once it comes out of the boiling soup.

I would recommend to first put in your vegetables in the soups first, then your tofu and imitation crab and then your meats and lastly your noodles. I would highly suggest you to put your noodles last because if you put it first, it will cause the soup to become starchy and not very good to eat.

Now you know all the tips and tricks for eating hotpot and I hope your first hotpot experience is AMAZING and one that your will remember forever (cuz i sure will remember my first experience:)
