BEST Mexican Tacos Recipe

These tacos are a yummy and easy dinner to make. You can use this recipe to make chicken, shrimp, or even fish tacos. Tacos are a fun and versatile dish because everyone can make it how they like. If you like extra chicken you can put more, if you like guacamole then you can put more. There are so many different ways you can make tacos so it fits to everyones liking. ❤

The recipe that i am about to share with you was given to me by a family friend. One time when we went to California together and they had made these amazing tacos. When we came back to Seattle all I wondered was how to make those tacos. We called them and they let us in on their top secret taco recipe!☺ Now I make these tacos almost every week and they keep on getting better every time!

Along with the tacos, I also like to make a Mexican tomato rice that tastes amazing with the tacos. This tomato rice can be really filling so make sure you are quite hungry. Nonetheless it is a great addition to tacos and is a MUST try!

Tip #1: When you add the Tajin spice for marination, I do not give exact amount needed in your choice of meat. What i like to do is fully cover the meat in the Tajin and then let it sit more 15 min. Tajin is a Mexican spice that consists of chili and lime. To be honest though, the Tajin is more sour that spicy. If you like extra spice then i would recommend to add some chili powder to your marination.

Tip #2: BUY PEPPER PLANT SAUCE! If you want to eat tacos the right way you MUST get pepperplant sauce. This is a spicy and tangy sauce that goes great with tacos and can spice up any dish! You can get this sauce on amazon and it is a brownish red color.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

- Chicken Thighs

- 5-6 large Mushrooms

- Tajin Mexican Spice (Read tip #1)

- 4 tbsp Melted Butter

- Corn tortilla

- 1 tomato

- 1/4 of a red onion

- 2 green chilis

- 2 Avocados

- salt (add desired amount)

- chili powder (add desired amount)

- Half a lemon

Instructions:

  1. In a medium sized bowl and your chicken, butter, and tajin (Read tip #1). Let it sit for 15 min to marinate.

  2. While chicken is marinating, cut mushrooms into long pieces. Take a pan and cover it in olive oil or butter. Add your mushrooms and start to stir over medium heat. Season mushrooms with salt and chili powder and continue to stir until mushrooms and a brownish color.

  3. Take the mushrooms out and in the same pan add your chicken. Constantly flip your chicken until it is done (this should take about 7-10 min on medium heat).

  4. While your chicken is cooking, mash up two avocados in a bowl and season with salt, chili powder and lemon.

  5. Once your chicken is done, take it out on a cutting board and slice into small pieces.

  6. Slice your onion, tomatoes, and green chilis into fine pieces and put into a small bowl

  7. On medium heat pan, add butter and put your tortillas in the pan until soft. Serve warm or put in a case if you want to eat later!

  8. Enjoy!
