Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies are the best on any occasion. Whether you want to serve it for a dessert at a party or as a daily treat, it is the perfect dessert to serve.

These chocolate chip cookies are soft and chewy and are low on the sweet side. Personally I hate overly sweet desserts so I always lessen the sugar of any dessert dish. You also can substitute the sugar in this recipe with honey.

These cookies are really easy to make and are a fun way to also get kids involved. My `10 year old brother always loves to help me make cookies because it is something that is very kid friendly.

This recipe makes 2 dozen and only takes 30 min to make!

Ingredients:

- 2 sticks unsalted butter (1 cup)

- 3/4 cup sugar

- 2 large eggs

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 2 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 3/4 teaspoon salt

- 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees and line up a cookie tray with parchment paper

  2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir for about 3 min.

  3. Add in your eggs and vanilla extract and mix until everything is combined

  4. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Slowly add your dry ingredients to to your other bowl and mix until everything is well combined.

  6. Once you have a nice cookie batter you can start rolling them into round balls. I try to make them about 2 tbsp in size and place them about 2 inches away from each other on the parchment paper.

  7. Place in oven for about 12-14 min until they are golden brown.

  8. Take them out of the oven and let them cool down

  9. Eat the yummy treat you just made! ENJOY!!! ☺❤
